Haryana BJP leader holds up ambulance, blamed for patient's death

New Delhi, Aug 7 (India Today): A man in Haryana's Fatehabad died allegedly because a local Bharatiya Janata Party leader held up the ambulance that the man was in.

Relatives of the deceased - identified as Navin - claim that Darshan Nagpal, the BJP leader, got into a fight with the ambulance driver after the emergency vehicle hit Nagpal's car.

The family says they kept pleading with Nagpal to allow the ambulance to pass as Navin's condition was deteriorating quickly. The pleas fell on deaf ears, however, and Navin died later on.

The family has filed a complaint in the matter. A police inspector said that both sides have been called in for further investigations. The inspector also said that the ambulance is believed to have been held up for around 30 minutes.

''A police inspector said that both sides have been called in for further investigations.''

what the above sentence means is the family of the deceased has been called to collect a small money in compensation and to withdraw the complaint.

    Our police are useless.
