Bengaluru: State govt quashes endowment grant to Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat's school

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 8: The state government has annulled an order through which Sri Rama Vidya Kendra Kalladka and Sri Devi Vidya Kendra Punacha being run by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, were adopted by Goddess Mookambika temple at Kollur in violation of rules, and funds were being released for running these institutions.

Sources claim that the institutions being run by Bhat have so far received about three crore rupees from Kollur temple in the form of endowment grants for running them.

Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat

A release from the government said that so far, a sum of Rs 2,83,25,424 has been released to these educational institutions from 2007-08 to 2016-17 from the temple. It pointed out that there is no provision in Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act to adopt private educational institutions by temples and maintain them. Therefore, accepting private educational institutions on adoption basis and maintaining and managing them results in unnecessary financial burden on the temple, it added.

Good deeds are always in the right side of the law. Nobody is stopping anyone from providing charity and doing good things to the society but it should be done according to the law. Nobody should violate the law and do things above the law in order to gain undue benefit. Law is same to everybody.

Don't take the "holier-than-thou" attitude without paying a visit to the school once. If the temple's funds are going to educational institutions, it is for a good cause. The institutions are registered with the State Education Dept. I would like to see how many of these "commentators" have the courage to bring their respective religious places of worship's funds and accounts under the ombundsmanship of the Govt.

I am not speaking about the merits of withdrawing the grant for the educational institution. In the bargain if the children are the losers it will be really sad. But my doubt is about some of the respected Hindus here taking this as a assault on HIndu community. Can the ban imposed on Dr Zakir Naik be taken as an attack on Muslims? If a Christian preacher is punished according to law for insuting other relgions be taken as onslaught of Christians? Do the Hindus really accept Dr Prabhakar Bhat as their legitimate leader? This point needs to be clarified.

Dear Rev. Fr Victor Machado, Mangalore/Tanzania,

K.P., Bhat is provoking Hindus against Christians and Muslims.

Christians because the missionaries are converting Hindus in to Christianity.

We Christians in India were about 3 percent.

Presently the population of Christians has declined from 3 percent to 2.3 percent.

Thanks to Fundamental Hindus after conversions we the Christians in India are 79 percent.

While the same Hindus convert Christians into Hinduism is not called conversion and it is called Ghar-Vapsi although the Hindus were originally descended from Africa, Iran and from Middle East.

What is the financial burden they are facing and the free facility is provided by the school. It is became high time, Hindus should realise that dangerous enemies are within their community and they can go to any extent to fulfil their personal gain. Remember our honorable CM Shriman Sidda RAMA ayyaji is a law abiding secular mindset Hindu..,
Do you have any good reason to accuse him to conclude that - a secular Hindu is targeting a Hindu....? for what....???

Somewhere your views don't add up .., be clear..!!!!

To be honest.., now is the time for Hindus to fight against FEKU HINDUISM...,

First time in 70 years..., by adopting/advocating "Ghar wapsi": Hinduism is in a way embracing the path of Christianity in practice.., and by advocating/preaching/mentoring to adopt violent methods of practice to protect Hinduism..., embracing a Moghul culture...? these are nothing but FEKU Hinduism...,

The tenets of Hinduism is "vasudhaiva kutumbamm, sarva dharma samabhava, & ahimsa paramo dharma", with these practicing tenets..., Hinduism with stood all kind of worst attack/invasion for millions of years...,
Now what we see is a section of politically motivated class trying to full fill their lust by selling Hinduism by re-defining Hinduism.

Hindu's must be aware & beware of these....,

this decision is fit for congress logic. they want to give free bhaghyas to the people & the govt don't want the people to work hard & earn the money. so that poor people always depend on govt bhagyas & congress will get the votes from these people. this is congress logic. instead if you give the education to the children then in future they will be able to earn the money without govt bhagyas. so they need not to depend on anybody. whatever the decision taken by govt is totally wrong.

Bhagyas are not monopoly of just Congress. All parties use these bhagyas for their benefit as and when required. Election time promises are also another form of bhagyas ( loan waivers for example).

And regarding your concern towards the education, please be aware that Modi government has reduced the education budget from 10,000 crores ( congress govt.) to 4500 crores. (Less than half)

May be they want to spend it for 40,000 crores allowed to Shivaji statue and 30,000 crore allotted to Patel statue

1,00,000 crore to Mumbai - Ahmedabad bullet train. ( Already there are so many trains run from Ahmedabad to Mumbai like our city buses in Udupi to Manipal). And travel fare on these bullet trains will be similar to that in aeroplanes.

Look at the priorities of Modi government. Not at all a big issue when lakhs of rupees can be spent on just a Suit. Even healthcare budget is reduced as far as I know.

Hajj subsidy is a big time scandal.
Muslims are paying for Haj themselves and they are also paying additional money to the Government.

    Mr. Sadanand,

Here is the simple calculation of HAJ SUBSIDY MYTH

    Expenses of Haj:-
    Flight Rs. 40,000
Stay in Mecca 25 days Rs. 50,000
Stay in Madina 15 days Rs. 20,000
    Other expenses Rs. 25,000
    Total Cost Rs. 135,000

    We paid Rs. 180000
    Govt Returns Rs. 34000 ( Subsidy )
Means we actually paid Rs. 146000
    Total Cost of Hajj Rs.135000

We paid an extra of Rs. 11000

Now the big question is where does all this money goes
    Rs. 11000 from each Haji X 1,35,000 hajis = Rs. 148.5 Crores
Annual budget of Hajj subsidy = Rs 600 + Crores
