Mangalore, May 24: INAT Technologies was launched at Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) of NIT-K, Suratkal, on Friday May 23 evening. The strategic IT solution company was inaugurated by union labour minister Oscar Fernandes.

Speaking on the occasion, Fernandes said that entrepreneurs should use manpower efficiently to give India the edge over China in the field of information technology.

Fr Denzil Lobo, director, Aloysius Institution of Computer Science (AICS), said delay in obtaining legal clearances at the bureaucratic level in India had been a hurdle for entrepreneurs seeking to launch business ventures. He added that in China this same process is very easy.

Prof Sandeep Sancheti, director of NIT-K, and Kiran Moras, chief information officer of High Mark Credit and Services, Mumbai, were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Flavian D’Souza, chairman, INAT emphasized the need for rural development.

It is heartening to see that Dakshina Kanada is forging ahead in I.T. St. Aloysius has modern set up and the credit goes to Father Denzil who from the very start has given various projects the desired thrusts. A graduate from Visconsin - he is the fittest man for St. Aloysius. I am glad that he is sharing his knowledge with others and encouraging other industrialists to keep up with the times. Flavian and Gerard indeed deserve high praise for the initiative. It is good to see that despite a busy schedule Mr. Oscar Fernandes finds time to be with the men of the soil and encourage them.
