Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jul 7: The skull, blood marks and hair of the murdered girl Safiya were recovered by the Kerala crime branch police on sunday. They have also confiscated a car reportedlyl used to transport pieces of Safiya's body after her death.

The skull was recovered from the spot where Safiya was buried. Plastic bag, thigh bone, hair, backbone, nails, the skirt worn by Safiya etc., were recovered on Saturday July 5 itself.

The policemen found a broom bearing blood marks from Flat No.4, which is located besides the flat No.3 where Hamza lived. Burnt blanket and clothes bearing blood marks were recovered from a sit-out attached to this flat. Accused Hamza has said, that the knife used to murder Safiya had been cleaned by him and thrown into fire.

The key of the flat No.4 where no one lives,  was with Hamza during the time the murder was committed. During questioning, the police have been informed that Safiya was dragged to the neighbouring flat by the accused before cutting her into pieces when she was still alive. No clues about the reported incident of hot gruel having fallen on Safiya could be recovered so far. The crime branch however revealed, that they found three wound marks left by lethal weapes in the thigh bone of the deceased.

Forensic experts who have accompanied the police team, besides confirming the above wound marks, also have opined that Safiya's body was cut into three pieces. At first, the culprits had thrown the body of Safiya after murder, in a forest. Later, they changed their minds and brought back the pieces of body from the forest and buried them, the police have discovered.

The crime branch sleuths have also recovered hair and pieces of clothes worn by Safiya from the boot of the said car, informed crime branch superintendent of police K P Philip and  DySP K V Santosh Kumar. Assistant sub-inspector Vijay Gopal and head constables V M Dhanraj and Madhu have been helping the investigating team.

Hamza and his wife should be given Life inprisonment if not capital punishment. What sort of a person would kill his or her maid because she had burn wounds ,and thought its better to kill the maid or else the child might get scared. They should have just let the maid off or just given her money to go to her hometown.Safiya herself was a kid, she was hardy 14. Its sad to see the rich using the poor like slaves and also deciding when to get rid of them by killing them. I wish Safiya was still alive. RIP Safiya

Kudos to Crime Branch A case has been solved which another police officer tried to cover up The first police officer who went to Goa actually tried to destroy evidence rather than finding the truth This police officer has to be punished so that no other police officer does this again If state police is so corrupt , it looks like everyone needs an "action committe " to get justice

If an animal attacks human being, we do not think twice before passing judgment that the animal is dangerous and should be killed. What should happen to this scum Hamsa and his cohorts, who killed an innocent girl and mutilated her body? I feel they should be caged until they die.
