Mangalore, Jul 8: MCC seems to have become more alert these days after the district is gripped by Chikungunya, Dengue, rat fever and other contagious diseases. Authorities have woken up from their slumber and are making all out efforts to control these diseases.
This was quite clear when they landed at Beebi Alabi Road on Tuesday July 8 morning with truck and labourers to get rid of tyres which are 'hot-spot' for mosquitoes for breeding.
The stagnant water that accumulates in these tyres become breeding spots for mosquitoes especially during the monsoon Therefore the civic authorities cleared the tyres in the Bunder area on Tuesday. The authorities also informed that the operation will be continued all over the city in the coming days.
