New Delhi, Dec 21: When public, in general, is weary of making the Aadhar card and linking the same to bank accounts, mobile numbers etc, this incident from Rae Bareli district is a complete turnaround, in which, an old man who was lost in a journey and forced to beg, was reunited with his family. He was also found to be a crorepati trader from Tamil Nadu.

Swami Bhaskar Swaroop Maharaj of Angroom School in Ralpur town of Rae Bareli district in Uttar Pradesh was moved by the pathetic condition of a beggar who came to beg for food near his school. He took the beggar under his shelter. He was given a haircut and bath as he looked clumsy.

To the utter shock of the assistants of Swamiji, who were giving a bath to the beggar, they found an Aadhar Card, a safety deposit locker key and fixed deposit (FD) documents worth Rs 1, 06, 92,731 inside his clothes.

Based on the details on the Aadhar card, when the assistants made further queries, they were in for another shock. This old beggar turned out to be a rich businessman hailing from Tamil Nadu.

The family members of the old man could not believe what they were hearing as the Swamiji conveyed that their head of the family, Muththaih Nadar, is with them.

His daughter Geeta rushed all the way from Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu to Rae Bareli and brought him back.

According to Geeta, her father lost his way during a train journey that he undertook 6 months before, probably due to the ill-effects of drugs that might have been forcefully injected by co-passengers.

She thanked Swami Bhaskar and all the other people for their concern and care offered to Muththaih and reuniting him with them

Swamiji has also requested the police and government officials to have sympathy on beggars and lunatics. He asked them to take proactive initiative in speaking to them so that in case they are lost like Muththaih, they can be reunited with their families.
