Udupi: Daijiworld.com Announces Opening of its Second Office in the Coastal Districts

Udupi, Jul 16: Daijiworld.com, a portal linking west coast of India and the world, has announced opening of its second office in the twin coastal districts, at Udupi on Jul 18, 2008.
"Daijiworld is growing, and we approach to the needs of the people of udupi and north Kanara, to bring more innovation in our day today news and information relay, as well as strenghening our commercial base by setting foot in Udupi" said Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd and Editor-in-Chief of Daijiworld.com, while addressing the media at Udupi Press Club on Tuesday, July 15 2008.
"Our operations in Udupi would be in the nature of franchisee, and Kishoo's Enterprise led by Kishu Barkur (Kishor Gonsalves) will take care of entire commercial aspects of daijiworld affairs in Udupi district. Kishoo has been involoved with daijiworld.com ever since its inception in the year 2001," he said.
The website which is in operation since the last eight years, has its main office in Mangalore, supported by over two-dozen dedicated staff members. Apart from this, more than 200 freelancers as well as honorary correspondents connected with daijiworld have been involved with the day-to-day activities of daijiworld from around the globe.
Daijiworld also gets credit for being the first-ever internet tv channel of the region.
Nandalike also announced, that very soon daijiworld offices in Bangalore and Mumbai will commence operations to strengthen its base and expand its reach in these regions.
The new office in Udupi situated at Maithri Complex third floor, will be blessed by Fr Mathew Vaz , Vicar Var of Udupi Varado at 9.30 am. Thereafter, the formal inauguration programme will be held at Roof Top hall of Hotel Kidyoor at 10.00 am sharp.
Sri Sri Sri Vidyaprasannatheertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Math will inaugurate the office. Gautham Pai, Executive Director of Manipal Media Network will be the chief guest.
Noted Kannada writer, editor of 'Anupama' Women's monthly Shahanaz will be the guest of honour.
