Mangalore: Mangalore - Sharjah - Kuwait Direct Flight from Today

Mangalore, Jul 17: Preparations are in full swing at both Mangalore and Kuwait international airports, to celebrate the commencement of the historic direct flight between Mangalore and Kuwait.
Unlike in similar occasions in the past pertaining to flight destinations like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha
and Qatar, the first Air India Express flight will commence its journey from Calicut to Mangalore and at 7.30
pm, the flight will take off from Mangalore to Kuwait via Sharjah.
About 85 Sharjah and Kuwait bound passengers have already booked thier tickets and are set to fly in the inaugural
flight today.
Air India Express Chief Operating Officer capt P P Singh will arrive from Mumbai to inaugurate this maiden flight to Sharjah and Kuwait. Rajesh Sequeira, main co-ordinator of Karnataka NRI Forum, UAE has organised a traditional Yakshana artistes performance prior to the departure of this flight.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mangalore president Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, Air Port Director M R
Vasudeva, Mangalore Air India Manager Chellam Prasad, Customs and imigration department heads etc., are also expected to be part of this inauguaral event
On the other hand, Mangalore bound passengers from Kuwait are excited and are just few hours away from realising their long awaited dream. The flight is fully booked and expected to have good inflight fun, as most of the office bearers of various associations and wellwishers have booked their tickets to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
