Mangalore: Happy Ending - Jabalpur Resident Vivek Gets his Bag Lost in Transit

Mangalore, Jul 26: Jabalpur (MP) resident Vivek Lakhanpal is a happy man now, after finally getting his missing bag back. The bag contained his original marks cards and other valuable documents, including a laptop. That is why he is ever grateful to the media for having helped him in getting his bag back. Daijiworld.com was the first from the media world to highlight this matter.
His bag got exchanged with that of a person named Alwyn, while he was travelling from Mumbai to Harihar. Alwyn, working in Bairut in Lebanon, was in a hurry to meet his father in Mangalore. He got down at Hubli at about 5.30 am and proceeded towards Mangalore.
In fact, Alwyn did not notice that the bag got exchanged, as the KSRTC bus conductor had not tied any tag to the bag. This mistake resulted in the exchange of the bag. Alwyn had not noticed that the bag in his possession did not belong to him for many days, as he was busy taking care of his father. His father is down with paralysis and was admitted to a hospital in the city.
Meanwhile, Vivek’s father was busy searching for Alwyn in city and the local media helped him in his efforts, by publishing details of his ordeal. Finally a person named Richard, residing in the city informed Alwyn that his photo had been published in the media. So when Alwyn opened the bag, he got the phone numbers of Vivek Lakhanpal and contacted him. Alwyn and Vivek Lakhanpal came face to face, with the help of local BJP leader Franklin Monteiro in the city.
Alwyn handed over the bag to Vivek Lakhanpal at SP's office on Saturday July 26. Meanwhile Vivek Lakhanpal and his father Mahendra Lakhanpal did not forget to thank the entire media for standing by them and helping them in getting Vivek's certificates back. Vivek also expressed his gratitude to Franklin Monteiro and priests of the local churches who extended their helping hands.
SP Sateeshkumar also did his best to help this family by handing over this case to the district crime intelligence bureau. Now Vivek Lakhanpal and his father Mahendra Lakhanpal are on their way back to Jabalpur with beaming faces. Meanwhile, Alwyn is busy searching for his bag which is in the custody of KSRTC.
