Udupi, Jan 26: In connection with the murder of NRI entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty (52) from Indrali here, who operated a bar cum restaurant in the city, police personnel of criminal investigation department (CID), Bengaluru, filed additional charge sheet running into 101 pages on Thursday January 25 in a court here. Allegedly, Shetty was killed and his mortal remains were cut into pieces and burnt down in a spot meant for sacrificial fire.

The CID had earlier submitted an 816-page sheet charge sheet in the case. The pages in the additional charge sheet have been numbered from 817 to 918. In addition to naming 20 new witnesses in the case, the CID has also provided several documents and evidences including reports from experts.

The additional charge sheet was submitted by deputy superintendent of police, CID, Chandrashekhar, in the court of the chief district and sessions judge, T Venkatesh Naik, in the presence of public prosecutor, Shanthi Bai, and advocate for the accused, Arun Bangera Beluvai.

Main accused in the case, Rajeshwari Shetty, Navneet Shetty, and Nandalike Niranjan Bhat, who are currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara central prison at Bengaluru, were produced in the court through video conferencing facility. Both the persons accused of destruction of evidence, who are on bail, were present in the court.

The judge posted the case for further hearing to February 9.

    when the murder happenned, there were so many comments that they should be hanged etc etc..
    after so much time, the CID has only filed a chargesheet, now it has to be proved in court.
    dont think anybody will be convicted as there is no evidence, only superficial evidence.

    only punishment should get for this crimes death penalty other then anything less for this crime which they not only killed made into pieces and burnt him .

    Proud to be Indian,there is witness,there is agreed we murdered but there is no punishment surprise this type of law never find in any corner of the world. okay please release the culprits public will give the punishment,if anything this type of matter held in their own family or friends of who department people fallowed the case what action will be there. So release all culprits public will teach them shame on our law.

    Police have filed a very week case.

    Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru. The kitchen with master chef's is going to be renovated very soon & there will be seperate dining area. Akka, Anna, Thamma & Thangi are going to have food in the same dining table.
