People with MBA, LLBs rush for peons’ job

Bhopal, Jan 29 (TOI): Engineers, law graduates and MBAs were among thousands of applicants who queued up for tests and interviews on Sunday for the job of peons in MP. As many as 2.81 lakh people have applied for 738 peon posts. The highest number of applicants — 70,000 — are from Gwalior.

Principal registrar (exam) A K Shrivastava said interviews began in MP on Sunday to fill these vacancies. Shrivastava said a committee of three judges formed by the district and sessions judge is conducting the interviews, which will go on till February 18. Asked if MBAs and law grads are among the applicants he said: "Since the applications were filled online, I am not aware of the educational degrees of the candidates but in the past, engineers and law graduates have appeared for the exam though the required qualification is just middle school pass (class 8)."

See the mushrooming of colleges offering professional degrees with very low quality unemployable product! Many colleges seats r going empty!! Here in DK itself every second student is an engineer/MBA/MSW/BPharm etc!!

Vocational education has got very good scope with lots of demand, n one can easily be self employed, but all parents want their wards to be management graduated by hook or by crook!!

While most people in the country are concerned about layoffs, job losses and the lack of employment generation, and the impact this is having on India’s young people, railways minister Piyush Goyal seems to think the decrease in employment opportunities is a “very good sign”. His logic suggests that young people are using the proverbial lemons life is throwing at them to make not lemonade, but gajar ka halwa.
When the views of union minister is so, PM Modi is not far behind. In an interview to Zee TV, PM Narendra Modi answered criticism over not creating enough jobs by saying a pakoda seller earning Rs 200 a day should also be considered employed.

His foolish decision of demonetisation anniversary according to CMIE data, the estimated total employment during January-April 2017 was 405 million compared to 406.5 million during the preceding four months, September-December 2016. Demonetisation caused 35% job losses, 50% dip in revenue.
He should better change his flagship skilling scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) into Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Pakoda Yojana.
The PM who see 'brain drain' is good for the nation, what is the point of spending lakhs of Rupees in education when can open a 'Pakora' stall and ear Rs200 per day?
If nation appoints 'fake degree' holders the nation will end up in 'Pakora' economics.
