Mangalore, Aug 4: Mandd Sobhan, a Konkani amphitheater located in the pristine surroundings of Shaktinagar, staged their 80th monthly programme titled ‘Chitnam,’ a musical extravaganza, on Sunday August 3, which was held at the Louisa and Francis Fernandes Cascia stage here.

The programme was the brainchild of Loy Valentine Saldanha, who has mesmerized Konkani buffs with the scintillating CD by his ‘Rays Group’. The musical group led by Jeevan D’Souza, Ashley Michael, Ralph Paul D’Souza, Ashwini D’Souza and Soni Menezes, along with guest musicians Johnson Crasta, Munita Veigas, Joel of ‘Mog Asum’ audio cassette fame and Precilla, enthralled the audiences with their musical talents.

Rony, Milan, Nigel, Sunil, Loy, and Ashwin, entertained the viewers with their dances, during the intervals. The jokes by Raymond Lobo, Felix Saldanha and Joseph Pinto, saw the audience respond with thundering applause.

Loui Pinto, president of Mandd Sobhan, felicitated Loy. The songs were based on deep thoughts and echoed the sentiments of the young and the old alike. Jeethan Menezes Ashoknagar compered the programme.
