Mangalore: Miscreants Assault 3 Young Men on City-bound Bus

Mangalore, Aug 7: A group of about 10 persons intercepted a city bus bearing route number 55 that was coming towards State Bank from Harekala, at Kankanady and assaulted 3 passengers and conductor of the bus on Thursday August 7 morning.

Once the driver stopped the bus, they barged into it and attacked three persons. When the conductor objected to this act and came to the rescue of the passengers under attack, they even assaulted the conductor named Kiran.

Fayaaz, Riyaaz and Zainuddin, the three who bore the brunt of the ire unleased by the attackers, sustained serious injuries as they were attacked with soda bottles. All the three have been admitted to the local Wenlock Hospital for treatment.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case. Even though the purpose for the assault is not clear, it is said that the three earned the wrath of the group as they were seen speaking to a girl.  Investigations are on.

I know Mangaloreans are peace lovers and they always will be..... some peace breakerw like these can never change our peace loving nature.....

    Nor Mohd and Vishwa, you people have concluded yourself that, the attack is of communal nature. It could be, but how could you decide when there is no mention of that, any where in the article. Though three of the victims are muslims, bus conductor Kiran, I believe is a non-muslim.

    What is happening to Mangalore, Why these hatred, Now these people wait for revenge. During my college days during 90's there used to be two gangs which used involve in fight and used to hear the day murder. But very sad to see the blood shed happening between two religion ( not sure as of now). very sad.
