Mangalore: South Kanara Muslim Association of Muscat Holds Get Together in City

Mangalore, Aug 7: Education is the key for all the developments. One who gives education to others never dies on this earth, said Ahmed Haji Mohiyuddin Tumbe, founder president of Badriya College.

Speaking at the get together of South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, which was organized here on Thursday August 7, he said that knowledge is the soul of Islam. One should seek knowledge from cradle to grave. God has given this life and one has to decorate it with the ornaments of knowledge, he advised.

“Success is possible only when constant efforts are put in a right direction. One should inculcate the habit of reading in his life,” he called upon.

Akbar Ali Padubidri, president of the Welfare Association, presided over the function. K S M Masood, former chairman of minority commission, Prof B M Ichlangod, Mohammed Beary, Sheikh Umar and Rafiyuddin Kudroli were present on the dais.

Meanwhile, meritorious students of the community were awarded with the scholarships. Later a seminar on ‘the role of education in the community development’ was held.

A K Mohiyuddin welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Mohammed Ajmal recited quirat. Umar U H compered the programme.
