Udupi: Serial accident throws traffic out of gear on NH66

Udupi, Mar 6: A serial accident that took place between a lorry, bus and car near Pangala junction on NH66 on Monday night, March 5 lead to traffic chaos.

A driving school car which had arrived from Kaup to Pangala and was on its way back to Kaup when a cement ready mixer truck, about to turn near the diversion near Pangala bridge and an express bus on its way from Mangaluru to Udupi came in between those two vehicles.

A few people sustained minor injuries which are fortunately not life threatening.



The accident threw the traffic on the highway out of gear. Local people in the leadership of taluk panchayat member Rajesh Shetty provided first aid to the injured and helped to regulate traffic.

Kaup SI Nithyanand Gowda and staff arrived at the spot and vacated the vehicles from the middle of the road.

A case has been registered at Kaup police station.

    This express bus driver went and hit the innocent truck driver though it was his own mistake he should be punished badly
