It is a deep shock for all of us. since there is no proper safety for the children, god only can protect the children. District administration should have strict policy to safegurd the children.

My condolences and prayers are with the parents and relatives of the little innocents who lost their lives. Sadly even as India is prospering its infrastructure is still poor. There is no accountability and Zero safety awareness.

This is a country which has to start from scratch , I am sorry to state that. Education, Engineeing, Enforcement and we sadly lack all three. For this corruption has to go. Tough days lie ahead. Like all tragedies we have seen before this will be forgotten by the administration while the poor parents suffer.

Almighty created thse kids a very short journy of life may god give their parents enough strenght to beare their sorrowes. This is our social responsibility to help these families in any way & also our Govt should take necessary measures to improve basic necessity of villagers rather than city.We are going to be celeberate 61th Indipendance day tommorow but unfortunately more than 40% of the Indian villages are still underdeveloped & also even unknowen condition this is our fate.

Please the heart-rending pictures. Spare a thought for the tragedy struck parents . Let us all be one with them when they need us the most. Moments of happiness dissolve quickly in the company of many but it's moments of grief as well that should bring us all together.

Sad day...May god help to control themselves - the parents and relatives . Corrupt politicians and burocracy is responsible for bad roads,in D.K District and Karnataka State ,due to this driver lost control by avoiding pot hole. Many accidents are expected due to similar situation( avoiding pot hole and colliding with incoming vehicle) Out side Karnataka, any boardering State roads are much better. Will our elected representatives take corrective measure for better roads. In Maharastra, from Chiplun to Dabhol( 45 kms)road built by ENRON in 1998 is still in very good condition. In karnataka, road repaired in Shiradi Ghat got spoiled within a month.Any one is taking the responsibility? Good roads are index of Goveranance. Will there be improvement in BJP ruled kARNATAKA state like in GUJARAT?

The Chief Minister must come personally and find out the exact cause of this tragedy and take remedial measures. Atleast this incident should open the eyes of our politicians and they must now take all measures to repair the roads, barricade the area which is dangerous to the people.

40 innocent Children now at the Almighty’s feet …..they are God’s Children and our Community’s Children…….These 40 children will certainly be able to pray for more and more Blessings from the Heavenly Father upon their parents and families that they may be get the strength to bear and overcome the grief and the sudden loss of their loved ones. I do hope they also prevail upon the Good Lord , even if needed by force, to make the authorities realize their sense of their responsibility for this great tragedy. But then to the society and to the media its just another accident…..Owning the moral responsibility, the Minister for PWD as well as the Education minister and all those who are responsible for the neglect of the maintenance of the road that caused this tragedy should resign gracefully, and so too the Home Minister who is behaving like a De Facto Chief Minister ( and who is like Nero playing the lute when Rome was burning,) knowing the catastrophic proportions of the distructive monsoons in South Kanara district so far this year...instead of taking a tough stand on erring ministers and officials is busy implementing his hidden agenda with silly things like Dancing Parlours and Music and serving liquor in bars. If they don’t leave in grace the citizens of South Canara should rise and revolt in one voice and show them the door…!!!
