Chitradurga: Too young to depart - Brain-dead 6-year-old girl gifts life to five

Daijiworld Media Network - Chitradurga (DC)

Chitradurga, Mar 28: A six-year-old girl from Chitradurga has given a new lease of life to five people, after she was declared brain-dead by doctors of a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Janahvi T, a resident of Chitradurga has become one of the youngest donors. The girl's heart was successfully transplanted to a 9-year-old boy from Vishakhapatnam. Her eyes, kidneys and liver were also donated to the needy.

Janahvi had complained of stomach pain a month ago and had frequent giddiness. She was taken to a private hospital in Chitradurga first. But the doctor failed to detect her ailment there and was taken to another private hospital in Mangaluru. After conducting MRI scan, they found a tumour in her brain. She was then referred to Fr Muller Hospital where she was operated on for nearly 14 hours. Though the tumour was removed, the doctors had informed her parents of the risk involved and the chances of her survival.
After the surgery she was in a state of coma and was declared brain dead.

The hospital staff, including coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe, a government agency which facilitates organ transplants, visited Janahvi's parents and requested them to donate her organs to which they agreed.

    We can compare the life of this child to a lily flower life of lily is short but useful. Life of oak tree is long but good for nothing
    is not growing like a tree
    In bulk, doth make man better be;
    Or standing long an oak, three hundred year,
    To fall a log at last, dry, bald, and sere:
    A lily of a day
    Is fairer far in May,
    Although it fall and die that night—
    It was the plant and flower of Light.
    In small proportions we just beauties see;
    And in short measures life may perfect be.

    When you look at sweet picture of this girl, it feels so much pain and agony to learn she is no longer alive. Call it, laws of nature or act of God, one feels that innocence and truth, has no place on earth. It happens every part of world, every walk of life and with every living being.

    Life continues to move on. In that context certainly her life has to be celebrated, with the gifts she showered on others, for enhancement in their lives. RIP Little Angel.

    @sri -elder,karkala, so or so she had no chance .but one try was worth .Everyparent would do this.Many times turnsout good.One can never say tumour sitz and its effects afterwords.Now she lives in five more persons ,which will give her parents a satisfaction of their daughter as a donor.she is not dead ,but lives in them.What would bring suppose they burry/or burn her body?So respect to her parents.Heartfelt sympathy to her family ,and same time abig salute.May her soul rest in heaven with angels.

    @SHANKAR!!! NEVER SAY OR THINK LIKE THAT, GOD IS NOT CRUEL. HE IS LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE. GOD HAS A PLAN IN EVERYBODYS LIFE. WE ALL BELONG TO GOD, HE CAN TAKE US WHENEVER HE NEED US . IN THE SAME WAY GOD WAS IN NEED OF THIS LITTLE ANGEL IN HIS GARDEN. WE MUST ACCEPT AND BOW OUR HEAD FOR HIS WILL.
    1 COR 6:20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. SO IT IS CLEAR THAT WE ARE THE PROPERTY OF GOD.
    PHILIPPIANS 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD

    God is always merciful, loving and compassionate. Satan is cruel and wicked who is also active in this world. So it is inappropriate to attribute all acts and happenings to God. What happened to little Jhanvi is sad very and painful. May she rest in peace.
