Sullia, Mar 28: Dakshina Kannada district president of BJP backward lasses Morcha, Suresh Kanemaradka, filed a complaint in the police station here on Monday March 27, stating that local MLA, S Angara, was derided in a post that appeared in a social website.

"In a Facebook account, Angara has been referred to as Looti Chennaya (plunderer) in the land of Koti Chennaya. The post has also insulted the valiant super heros of Tulu culture. Therefore, the person who created these posts should be punished," the complainant had urged.

Zilla panchayat member, Harish Kanjipili, town BJP in-charge, Subodh Shetty, Dinesh Adyar, Uday Maniyani and some others were present when the complaint was delivered.

It is said that the police later summoned the person who created the post to the station, where he offered his apologies. He was let off after getting a bond executed by him, and after issuing a warning.
