Mangaluru, Apr 4: Dakshina Kannada principal district and sessions judge K S Bilagi hopes to vote in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly polls, for the very first time in his 32 years of service.
Addressing a blood donation camp and voter awareness programme at Mangaluru, the judge expressed his disappointment on missing the opportunity to vote every time because of transfers.
"In my 32 years of service, I have been repeatedly transferred during the election season. When I was serving in Kalaburagi, I was unable to vote as my name was not registered on the voter’s list.
"In Bengaluru, I was transferred during the elections. The upcoming polls will be the last election during my service. This time, I have submitted an application and hope that my name gets included in the voter’s list," he said.
