Arun Jaitley back home after dialysis, surgery put off for now

New Delhi, Apr 10(PTI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was admitted to the hospital on Friday with a kidney condition, was discharged today after a dialysis procedure.

Mr Jaitley, 65, who was admitted to Delhi's premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS on Friday evening, did not undergo any transplant and has been advised by doctors that he may get better with dialysis and medicines, sources close to his family said.

The doctors, who had kept him under observation for two days before taking him for dialysis, have decided to wait for some time to see if a kidney transplant surgery is essential.

Due to the high risk of contracting infection, the minister would be kept in a controlled environment with barely any visitor being allowed to see him.

It is not yet clear as to when Mr Jaitley will resume office. He has not been attending office since last Monday. He was unable to take oath of office after being re-elected to the Rajya Sabha.

AIIMS sources, however, said that he is under observation and is likely to undergo renal transplant soon.

A series of medical tests were conducted on Mr Jaitley, who is a diabetic, in the last few days.

If he had followed Ayurveda under the treatment of Ramdev baba , this would have never happened. Gaumutra would have cleansed his kidneys. Why is he following allopathy is beyond comprehension .

One person in Kinnigoli had the same problem and now he got kidney transplanted. Before doing it, many people suggested him to drink gomutra and by that he would be cured. He asked his kidney specialist, Dr Shetty, who told him, if he wanted to die, he could drink gomutra and according to him, gomutra contains lot of bacteria which is harmful for humans.

    Geoffrey

Educationist Ramesh Joshi told, the doctorate had been conferred on Bhagwat for non-academic reasons. "As an educationist, I would say that this degree has got nothing to do with research. I will not comment whether it is politically motivated or not, but certainly, the issuance of the degree has got nothing to do with any kind of information (research). It's an honorary degree,” Joshi told News18.
