Saif Ali Khan is the Next 'Singh' with a Heart of Gold!

Zee News

Mumbai, Sep 12: Post ‘Singh is Kinng’, it seems that every actor in Bollywood wants to be a ‘Singh’, and we mean that literally. The latest B-town hottie to don the most happening look of the season is our very hip and happening Saif Ali Khan.

The actor will be seen playing a Sardar in his untitled home production directed by Imtiaz Ali. The actor surely made heads turn as he came out dressed in a red turban and yellow shirt on the streets of Kolkata.

But what makes Saif a ‘Singh’ with a twist is his heart of gold.

‘Saifu’, who apparently needed the busy streets of the city to be cleared off for his movie shoot, ensured that his schedule does not hamper the livelihood of the street hawkers. And the Chhote Nawab did that in his true royal style.

Instead of getting a notice issued by the Municipal Corporation to get the streets cleared, Saif paid the hawkers to stay off the streets.

A news daily quoted a unit member as saying, "Of all the people in Kolkata, he's made the hawkers the happiest. They were paid to clear the streets for the shoot. For their next schedule, they paid hawkers selling vegetables, fruits and fish on this street Rs 2000 each, and told them not to come for four days. "

Not only the hawkers, it was blessing in disguise for the houseowners on the street as their building were repainted for free.
