Bengaluru, Jun 12: It is learnt that Karnataka chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, who has been fed up by the interference by his father and brother in every aspect of the administration, has told them in no uncertain terms that their habit of poking nose in all government affairs is unwelcome.

Kumaraswamy is learnt to have poured out his feelings in the presence of his close ones in which he explained that he rose to be the chief minister of Karnataka under peculiar circumstances and that he has been under pressure from Congress on various issues. He wonders how he can function if family members too try to have their say in all aspects of the government.

Sources stated that the CM clearly told his brother H D Revanna, and father, H D Deve Gowda, that he does not want interference of family members, brothers, blood relations and all others in the affairs of the government and that he has to be given free hand in these issues. He explained to them about the situation he has been in at present and therefore stressed to them that unnecessary interference or bringing pressure are the things he abhors.

It is learnt that after Kumaraswamy won the trust vote in the assembly, Deve Gowda had held meetings with chief secretary of the government, K Ratna Prabha, additional chief secretary, Laxminarayana, director general of police, Neelamani N Raju, city police commissioner, T Sunil Kumar and others. When Kumaraswamy held meetings of officials from departments of agricultural, horticulture etc in the Vidhana Soudha, Revanna had convened a meeting of Karnataka Milk Federation although he is not connected with it. Moreover, when Kumaraswamy was addressing a press meet, Revanna had intervened, which had angered Kumaraswamy.

On account of these reasons, Kumaraswamy has told the family members to stay away from things with which they are unconnected, reports stated.
