Mangalore, Sep 19: A grand welcome was given to the parishioners of Permannur who reached here from Madikeri prison on Friday September 19. All 44 people had been arrested on Monday September 15, for allegedly attacking the police.

The Diocesan Catholic Lawyers’ Guild took up their case and bail was granted on Thursday September 18. Their release was delayed for a day as the release order could not reach the prison before 6 pm on Thursday.

A team headed by Permannur parish priest Fr Thomas D’Souza and noted lawyer Ivan D’Souza, social activists Santhosh Lobo Gurpur, and Alwyn D’Silva, went to Madikeri to bring back the parishioners. More than a thousand parishioners were present at the church to welcome them.

A total of 16 FIRs have been registered by the police, and 153 people were arrested in connection with these cases. Of these, 20 are still in prison, said sources.

This is the time to unite all christians. We have to establish such a organization which is equivalent of BD Ram Sene, RSS to defend ourself while attacked by the state Government sponsored terrerist groups. We never get justice when terror groups leaders ruling the state. Cultprits have no right to servive. Note the trouble maker leader and finish them without evidence. Otherwise we will loose our identity in future. Deal with terrorists in terror style.

A Hearty Welcome to all my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. The attack on churches in Mangalore has brought us togather and hope it does keeps us togather forever. I have heard the police have kept thier clippings to prove communal violence, looting, damage to public property etc and many more,

Catholic ladies please do come forward and challenge them and be witness to our youngsters. This is a case of justice between the followers of christ and the communal Government joined by police force. I hope everyone remembers the Best Bakery case in Mumbai and i would like to see our SP and Kadri Inspector behind bars. if no today but in 10 years time.

DEVAK ARGA. Congratulations to you heroes and heroines. Your sacrifice to Jesus, love to our religion and the unity we witnessed through the great great coverage by DAIJI TEAM is praise worthy. We could only help you that moment with our Prayers, fasting and deep feelings within our heart. Thanks to the parishioners who welcome these heroes with such a great splendour and joy. Note: We deeply feel sorry for those who are still in prison and our church leaders should bring them out of prison at the earliest. Secondly you dear parishioners also elevate and honour the people mainly seen are nuns, ladies and youngsters who suffered terrible beatings of those mercyless police. You all united as the church bells gave you a call to come and unite and this made these brutal POLICE to get easy prey for their lust and thirst.

Welcome boys and you all arrested because of terrorist party's problem. Govt. should ban all religions tapori parties creating problem for other religion and spoiling peace of the country. Police arrested you all instead of arresting those terrorist who attacked the Churches and mishandling the siuation. The DC and the SP must be axed first, then followed by the gunda police who stormed the church and beat innocent women, children and nuns. They should be identified by the video footage and transfered to Jammu and Kashmir for their extra ordinary bravery with their Bajrang Dal, VHP and Sangh Parivar members.
