Udupi: 'Linen Club' Showroom Open for Business in City

Udupi, Oct 12: Dr V S Acharya, state home minister, inaugurated the new showroom of 'Linen Club' in the city on Saturday October 11 located at C P C Plaza near service bus stand.

This is the brand's second showroom in Karnataka with Bangalore having the first.

Soon after the inauguration, a stage function was held which was presided over by Dr G Shankar of Shamili group of Industries.  He lit the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries present on the dais. 


Abhey Nair, senior vice-president, Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, said in his speech that linen is a special fabric which is better than cotton and can absorb any kind of moisture and is particularly suitable to tropical climatic regions like that of Udupi.


Builder Jerry Vincent Dias, Manohar S Shetty, Jagadish Moleyar, assistant general manager, Karnataka Bank Regional Office were amongst those present. Dr Prafulla G. Kanchan, partner, welcomed the gathering and Kishoo Barkur, partner, proposed the vote of thanks.  Sudhakar Rao compered the programme.
