Kuwait: Konkani Community in Ahamadi Honours Singing Star Vinay Lewis

Kuwait Oct 25:  The winner of First ever reality title in the field of  Konkani Music “GULF VOICE OF MANGALORE, 2008”, Vinay Lewis was honored for his great achievement at Ahmadi Parish, on 24th October 2008, after the Konkani Mass.

On behalf of the parish community, Parish Priest Fr. Theo M. Fernandes congratulated Vinay for achieving this success and making the parish proud and honored him with flower bouquet, shawl, fruits and memento.  Fr. Theo thanked the Lord Almighty for Blessing Vinay with such beautiful voice and wished him every success in each of his future venture.



Vinay Lewis is an active member of the Konkani Choir at Ahmadi parish.  Pascal Pinto, President of Kuwait Konkans was also present on the occasion and he honored Vinay with a flower bouquet on behalf of Kuwait Konkans.  In his remarks on Vinay he commented that the community has to groom this beautiful talent and give Vinay an exposure to exhibit his talents.  He also put forth his plans to organize a special show very soon to promote this very precious talent which God has blessed with his abundance.

Earlier Konkani Choral Group of Ahmadi Parish, honoured Vinay Lewis, ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore- 2008’ at Rony DCunha’s residence on 21st October 2008.  Before that Pearl Beats- Kuwait, a Konkani Music Group in Abu Halifa felicitated its Ace Singer Vinay Lewis, Gulf Voice of Mangalore, 2008 on 18th August 2008, at Ivan Almeida’s residence in Abu Halifa. 

Apart from the beautiful voice, God has also gifted Vinay with many other talents.  He plays lead guitar very well and also dances joyfully.  His beautiful smile is a bonus point in all his achievements.
