Mangalore, Oct 25: Sri Vishnumurthi Janardhana Chinnara Yakshagana Mandali, Manjanadi organized a felicitation ceremony to yakshagana artistes considering their contribution to the art at Town Hall here on Friday October 24.
Bhagavat Baddikere Purushothama Poonja, Sharath kumar Kadri, convener, Amateur Yakshagana Group Kadri, Jagadish S Gatti Uchil, director, Chinnara Mandali and Uday Anchan Manjanadi, national-level Kabaddi referee were being felicitated on the occasion.
Amrith V Kadri, Ln Roshan Pandeshwar were chief guests. Playwright Vijay Kumar Kodialbail released the compact disc of children's yakshagana 'Shambavi Vilasa'. Ganesh Rao, president, Karavali Group of Colleges presided over the function.
'Birdhda Bire Abimanyu' yakshagana directed by Baddikere Purushotama Poonja was performed after the felicitation function.
