‘Baila Dhoom’ Enthralls Mumbaikars with Peppy Show

Mumbai, Oct 26: ‘Baila Dhoom’, a maiden show of non-stop traditional Mangalorean dance, music, and jokes by ‘Mandd Sobhan’, was staged at St Lawrence High School auditorium, Thane, on Friday October 24.

Mandd Sobhan is a premier organization engaged in the promotion of Konkani culture and heritage worldwide, based out of Mangalore. The baila group was led by Kalaratn and Mandd Sobhan Ghurkar Eric Ozario. He was accompanied by ace singers Joyce Ozario, Zeena Pereira, Prakash D’Souza, Felix Lasrado, and musicians Roshan D’Souza, Ashith Pinto, Richard Monteiro, Sachin Sequeira, Umesh Iddya, Sunil Kumar, and Damodar Kumble.



Foot tapping dances were performed by Naach Sobhan consisting of Avil D’Cruz, Sweety D’Cruz, Anil Spinoza, Ashwin D’Costa, Jeethan D’Cunha, Shalmi D’Souza, Seema Santos, and Reshma Castelino.

‘Koroz Manglur’ the comedy troupe led by Nellu Permannur, Alwyn Veigas, Abraham Pashan, and Felix Lasrado, entertained the audience with their rib-tickling jokes.  

Konkani TV anchors Arun Raj Rodrigues and Melita Pinto, compered the show in an interactive style. 

Kinglsey Nazareth, is the leader of the Baila Dhoom team. Other shows will be held at  Ghatkopar at 3.00 pm on Tuesday October 28, Vasai at 7.00 pm on Wednesday October 29, and Vile Parle at 7.00 pm Thursday October 30.
