Hubballi, Oct 1: "Special Investigation Team (SIT) has done a commendable job in the investigation of the murder case of journalist Gauri Lankesh. The inquiry is in its final stage," said DCM Dr G Parameshwar.
Dr Parameshwar was speaking to media on Sunday, September 30.
"The team of SIT officials has cracked this murder case very effectively and apprehended the accused based on the suitable pieces of evidence,” he added.
“The investigation is still on. The work of the state SIT team has to be appreciated by the whole country. The accusation made by the accused person about the functioning of the SIT, is a blatant lie," he said.
