Though new timings are suitable and convenient, it will no longer be called as budget airline. The prices are high and AIE is sucking the blood of poor Indians and taking away a big chunk of hard earned money of overseas Indians. The only way to control the pricing is to introduce competition in this route.

Good timings. But fares from Kuwait to Mangalore are cheaper than  from Dubai to Mangalore. Cancelling Sharjah flight is really sad news. People staying in Sharjah, Umm-al_Quwain, Dibba, Fujeirah, Ras-al-Khaimah are facing difficulty in reaching DUBAI airport due to heavy traffic. For your kind information, it takes 2-3 hours to reach Dubai Airport from Ajman.  It is very inconvenient to start from home 6 hours before departure time. HOPE OTHERS AGREE WITH ME.

Very good timing for Dubaites. Why Air India Express does not consider the grievance of passengers from Doha?. It is clearly understandable that The AI Express exploits the monopoly, by giving a very inconvenient and odd timing from Dohaites where most of the indian residents works for offices, causing one day loss for all workers, since the departure time is 10:30 a.m.

Most of Dubaites are business people where the exisiting Doha timings will not affect them much. Still AI Express showing a Step-mother attitude to Doha residents. Also Doha residents have to suffer the stopever in Bahrain while going and coming back, which emphasis the descrimination towards Doha Passengers. AI express should understand that the passengers are not from proper Mangalore. They are from 100 - 150 kms away in Karnataka and Kerala.

The timings should be conveninent accordingly. If you evaluate about the Calicut (Kozhikode) Air-port in Keala, commsiioned only 6 - 8 years back, you can learn more things. Now just compare the Calicut Airport and the Mangalore Airport which was commissioned decades ago. The concenred authorities should be active, not just beat in the bushes and enjoy the position/trust bestowed on him.

We do not understand why Air India Express cancelled the Flight of Sharjah - Mangalore? any reason after cancelling the Kuwait Flight which was via Sharjah, we are sure there enough people to travel Mangalore if there are 2 flights per day to Mangalore from Dubai or Sharjah

Air india Express is not a Budget Airline anymore . We cannot call it  budget airline fares. If the fares are  not reduced in comming days more and more passengers will fly to calicut Airport for sure.

Whatever the public opinion about the fares of AI Express (so called budget airlines) the prices are exorbitantly high no doubt. But the main point is that Mangalore Flight started basically for the benefit of keralites not for Mangaloreans. Thats why the fares to kerala are cheaper than mangalore. Please note....

good timings by the air india express.but the air fare is too high inspite of fuel prices are being low.air india express is taking advantage of the monopoly.new airlines need to be introduced in these sectors as a competators so that we could have a good bargain on the airfare.

Why de-link an existing station @ sharjah when u can re-connect it to Damam, Riyadh or Jeddah? I think this is a good oppurtunity for Air-India express to serve the KSA from Mangalore. Daiji world should take a step forward in promoting this as well as all the community groups from KSA.

Good Timings , but why is the Air fare for Mangalore-Dubai so high ? it was 2,700 dhs during the EID Holidays. This exploitation has to be stopped, Hope Air India Express will act on this issue.

dear Daiji a question for you- Some people have already booked tickets with Air India Express and now it seems that they are scheduling a non stop flight to and from Kuwait. So the timings will be changed. whether the passengers will be notified of the timings? or we have to assume the flight is scheduled on the same given time?

The Air India Express (AIE) effectively  charging exorbitant fares on all the sectors originating and leading to Mangalore. Perhaps mangaloreans are unaware of the fact that Kerala bound flights from AIE are comparatively cheaper. Why this stepmotherly treatment ?  Look at these rates for example 1. Dubai-Mangalore (25-12-2008) – Fare Aed. 1599.97 2. Dubai –Kozhikode(25-12-2008)- Fare Aed. 739.97 3. Dubai – Kochi (25-12-2008) –Fare Aed. 1049.97

AirIndia Express must take a serious view of this and immediately reduce their fares to Mangalore so it could be called a Budget airline.
