UAE: Abu Dhabi Billawas conclude 14th Anniversary with Exuberance

Abu Dhabi, Dec 13: Displaying a great sense of unanimity, the entire billawa community of UAE gathered at the Al Dhafra ‘HAREB’ Hall, Abu Dhabi to participate in the 14th annual family get-together celebration of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi on 12th Dec 2008.
The program started at one of the most colourful halls of Abu Dhabi with a prayer by Rashmitha Ramesh at 11:30 AM followed by welcome dance by Madhurya Diwakar. Continuing with their unique trend, the committee members with their family lit the ceremonial lamp.
Carrying forward from his 2007 welcome speech, Convenor of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi, Manohar Tonse once again emphasized the true sprirt of unity required in family get-together events. He stated the importance for everyone to keep difference at the back door and bring the joy of oneness at the forefront. He said that the intention of sanghas is to bring people together and this ideology needs to be respected by one and all.
One minute silent prayer was observed as a mark of respect for the martyrs of 26th November Mumbai tragedy.
Welcome bouquets were presented to the guests from Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates (BDNE) Vice President Prabhakar Suvarna and Executive Committee member Anand Bailoor. Ashok Anchan, President and Sudhakar Salian, Jt. Secretary received the same on behalf of Billawa Balaga Dubai. Mahila Vibhaga President Geeta Suvarna received the same on behalf of Billawa Balaga Mahila Vibhaga.
D K Anchan, Ex Chairman and founder Director of Bharat co-operative Bank and senior Billawa community leader from Mumbai was honoured with flower bouquet by members of Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi. Another personality from Mumbai was Karnoor Mohan Rai, the man behind organizing the famed Bale Chaa Parka drama’s, also honored with flower bouquets.
The next session was followed with immaculate cultural programs with the ever shinning high spirited Kishore Kotian compeering in his usual trendy style assisted by Manohar Tonse. The complete event management was conceptualized and creatively managed by Suresh Salian, Pradeep Kirodian and Dayanand Bangera. They managed it with utmost professionalism and ensured the entire event was managed in style and time which was highly appreciated by all.
Kishore Kotian who is one of the founder members of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi was recognized for his contribution to the sangha and society. He along with his wife Roopa K Kotian were felicitated on the occasion by the committee. Jyothi Bangera gave formal introduction. Madhav Gundibail, main sponsor of the event, along with Sunitha Jagannath, Purnima Manohar Tonse presented the flower, fruits, memento, sanmana patra and shawl.
Overwhelming dance was presented by various groups during the day filled event. Children’s, men folk and women members from Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi, Billawa Balaga Dubai and Ocean kids staged some memorable shows.
Dance and Skit participants were Muktika Manohar, Shiyal Pravin, Vernika, Mahima, Sara, Sanjna, Preeti Kishor, Mridulla Raj, Kritika, Saritha Kirodian, Harsha, Rashmi, Madhav, Kishor. Amar. Kishan Kumar, Santosh, Sudhir, Madurya Diwakar Abhijit Mahesh, Atmiya Mahesh, Nagraj, Neeladhar, Devdas, Suresh, Ashvanth, Dinesh Poojary, Harsha Poojary, Kutty Poojary, Kavitha, Mahesh Sanil, Subakar and Srinivas, Sunil Poojary, Harish Yayyadi, Shekar Balakrishna and Pradeep Kirodian.
Dances were directed by Pawan, Harsha Kadri, Madhav Hejmadi, Rashmi and Preeti Kotian.
The most attractive show staged by Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi was Talim show. This was performed to precision by Subakar, Srinivas Sanil and Daynand Sanil. The dangerous show was made to look so simple yet attractive by these talented gentlemen.
Comedy skit Suvarna Mahotsava directed by Pradeep Kirodian. This was part of the drama from the famous Devadas Kapikad. More skits like Fire Service and Bootha Kola were performed by the talented team of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi.
Madhav Hejamady and team from Billawa Balaga Dubai came out with an awesome conceptualized performance depicting the festival of lights Baliendra with the support of Billawa Balaga Mahila Vibhaga. They had also performed Gombe Dance.
The naturally talented Sudhakar Thumbe and team staged Yakshagana, Brahma Baidyar.
Various prizes were given by Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi. Sudhir of Billawa Balaga Dubai won the first prize in the lucky draw, which was a free Jet Airways return ticket from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai. Jyoti D Bangera from Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi won the first prize in the Raffle draw, which was 16 gram of gold coin. The prize was given away by D K Anchan. Various other prizes were also given. Ramesh Suvarna and Jyoti D Bangera conducted the spot games. Ramesh Suvarna gave the vote of thanks. Other Committee members of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi namely Sudhir Kunder, Pravin Bolur, Mahesh Sanil, Shankar Amin lent their whole hearted support.
