Dubai: Bearys Cultural Forum Felicitates Krishna Palemar

Dubai, Dec 23: The Bearys Cultural Forum under the auspices of the Indian Islamic Centre, Dubai, UAE, conducted a felicitation function at the Coral Deira, Dubai, UAE and felicitated Honourable Minister J. Krishna Palemar, Minister for Ecology, Environment, Ports and Inland Water Transport, Govenrment of Karnataka at the Coral Hotel, Dubai, UAE. In the light of the recent happenings in Mumbai, India where innocent people lost their lives, the delegates and the audience observed a two-minute silence in the Banquet Hall. Program covered some cultural songs in Kannada and Beary songs.
Several other delegates from the Government of Karnataka attended this felicitation function. This included Balaga vitiperudarappa, Nagesh Rao, J.K. Rao and J.K. Rao. Several other delegates from Mangalore such as M.B. Noor Mohd., State Convenor, Minority Cell, Abdul Razak Shaban from Moolur, Kaup Mohammad Ali from Kaup also attended this BCF’s felicitation function. There were other delegates from the United Arab Emirates who attended this function. This included members such as Prabhakar Ambalthre, President, Karnataka Sanga, Sharjah, Ganesh Rai, Puthran, Praveen Shetty, Noel Mascarenhas, Satish Poojary, Sandeep and Syed Khalil.
M.E. Moolur, Hon. Vice President, BCF gave a general presentation of the people of Karnataka and also provided an introduction of the Bearys Cultural Forum. Dr. B.K. Yusuf, the President of the BCF spoke on the occasion and presented a “Charter of Requests” to the Hon. Minister J. Krishna Palemar, Minister of Ecology, Environment, Ports and Inland Water Transport, Government of Karnataka. Dr. Kaup Mohamed, Hon. General Secretary, BCF welcomed all the guests and gave a preview of the State of Karnataka.
On behalf of the Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) Dr. B.K. Yusuf felicitated and presented an Award of Felicitation Plaque and a Crystal momento to the Hon Minister J. Krishna Palemar as a mark of respect, appreciation, dedication and commitment to the people of the Karnataka State. All other delegates from the Government of Karnataka were also felicitated. A representative from most of the Associations of the Karnataka State in UAE also presented a bouquet to the Hon. Minister J. Krishna Palemar as a mark of respect and appreciation. Hon. Minister Krishna Palemar also spoke to the audience on the eve of felicitation conducted by BCF.
Shahda Noor Mohd. proposed vote of thanks. The felicitation program ended with a buffet dinner to all the delegates and the members who attended this function.
