Moodbidri: Adla Christmas Nite Brings Communities Together

Moodbidri, Dec 26: Adla Cable Network, headed by Walter Stephen Mendes of Taccode organizes Christmas Nite every year, to bring people from all walks of life from around Moodbidri together for the celebrations. People gather here, irrespective of their caste, creed or linguistic affiliations to celebrate the event together.
This year's programme was organized at Padmavati Kalamandir, Moodbidri with the main attraction being that of Br James Roasario who came from Kolkata with his assistant Br John Malhotra. Br James succeeded in getting rapt attention of the crowd to his gospel and devotional singing in Hindi, English and Bengali.
Devine Call Centre Mulki, headed by Fr Jerald Sequiera gave an hour-long devotional programme to add to the divinity of the environment.
In addition to the devotional programmes, troupes from around Mangalore thoroughly entertained the crowd with their melodious rendering of songs and attractive dances. Suratkal Kids, Top Entertainers, Adla Quakers, Boy Zone Dance Academy, Sizzling Guys and other groups presented different types of dances for Kannada and Hindi songs.
Guests for the evening were local MLA Abhaya Chandra Jain, former minister Amarnath Shetty, Fr Jerald Sequiera, Br James and Fr Vincent D'Souza, parish priest of Alangar Chruch and Pascal Pinto from Kuwait.
All the guests delivered Christmas messages to the audience.
Adla chief Walter Stephen Mendes earlier welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks at the end. Flora Mendes compered the event.
The programme was telecast live through Namma Kudla and V4 Network channels to thousands of audiencees.
About 2500 people witnessed the event at the venue. D J Jayson entertained crowd with disc music.
