Belgium indicts suspect involved in 2015 Paris terror attacks

Brussels, Jan 9 (IANS): A man suspected of supplying weapons to the terrorists responsible for coordinated attacks in Paris in 2015 was indicted in Belgium in late December, an official said on Wednesday.

The man, identified previously in news reports by Belgian newspapers "La Libre" and "La DerniereHeure" as Mohamed E., was suspected of supplying Kalashnikovs to the terrorists that were used in the attacks that killed at least 130 people on November 13, 2015 in Paris.

Eric Van Duyse, a spokesman for the Federal Prosecutor's Office, confirmed the arrest of the suspect. He will now face criminal charges for his involvement in the attacks.

Some of the main suspects involved in the Paris 2015 terror attacks have been put on trial and imprisoned in France and Belgium.
