Mangaluru

With daijiworld.com, the pioneer of online journalism in coastal Karnataka that links the west coast of India and the world, completing 18 glorious milestone years and stepping into the 19th year, a big thank you note comes from the entire team of daijiworld to our readers for keeping our brand alive, vibrant, focussed, and a part of your life for all these years.

As the years have passed, we have grown step by step facing all kinds of challenges, being resourceful as well as true to journalistic ethics, and here we are now with much success, impact and fulfillment.

Without naming anyone, the management of Daijiworld takes this opportunity to thank our readers, well-wishers, advertisers, team members, agencies, franchises, contributors and our patrons for being there with us every step of the journey.

We have been able to achieve many firsts in the past; with your support we could expand our ventures into web, print, television, audio-visual, technology and radio. Very soon we will spread our wings further with more innovative ideas and challenges, and we hope you will continue your support to us in future also.

Just to update our readers, the charity mission started by us many years back has continued to create an impact on the poor and needy families all over, with people from all walks of life getting a chance at a better future. We have now generated nearly Rs 19 crore of funds through direct benefit from donor to needy without any middlemen. This mission is possible only due to the generous hearts of our readers who have reposed trust in daijiworld. We will continue to do this good work as long as you reach out to the needy people.

May the new year bring more smiles in your life and inspire you to enrich the lives of those around you. Let us make this world beautiful by spreading good words, doing good deeds, sharing and caring.

May the Almighty bless us all.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hid.” – Mathew 5-14
This applies to Daijiworld which radiates its high quality light over the waves to cover the whole world. Congratulations to Daijiworld Founder-Editor, Walter Nandalike and his team as it enters its 19th year.
I have special reason to be nostalgic and grateful to Daijiworld as I have been associated with it from its infancy – operating from a small room at Benddorewell. It initiated me into website journalism and I remained a frequent contributor. I have been with Daijiworld as it moved to larger premises at Kankanady Junction and, finally, to its present grand premises, opposite Bondel Church, covering a whole floor in a large building named after Daijiworld – making me its proud neighbour. I had been with it through the launch of Daijiworld Weekly and many other expansion initiatives.
Apart from providing a platform for publishing my writings, Daijiworld has been very generous in supporting my two passions – Bondel Laughter Club since 2002 and the launch of Johnlyn Toy & Book Exchange in January 2018.
As for the funds raised for deserving people, I was so impressed by it that I worked on compiling a book on it. When it required digging into Daijiworld archives and I approached the ever obliging Melwyn Rodrigues, Director-Operations, I could sense that he was dragging his feet and concluded that Daijiworld wanted to keep the lighted candle under the bushel.
The launch of Daijiworld Weekly was another milestone on the growth path – and I was there and I have grown with it in the years since with active encouragement from its genial and ever-welcoming Editor-in-Chief Hemacharya
Today is a day for rejoicing over the achievements of all those who toiled to take Daijiworld to its present eminent position. Three cheers!

Hearty congratulations and a big thanks to the entire daijiworld.com fraternity for providing an outstanding platform for multiple purposes such as share news and information from the coastal region and beyond, raise awareness on socio-political issues, promote local talent, be a mouthpiece of the common wo/man, reach out to the poor and needy in distress situations and so on and so forth.

So many people have benefited from your versatile services and goodwill. As acknowledged by many readers already, you have served the society without any discrimination on the grounds of caste, creed or religion. In fact you have acted as a bridge-builder between communities.

As you complete 19 years of valuable presence in the field of online and print journalism, and social outreach initiatives, we congratulate you and wish you many more years of vibrant and prophetic presence in this field. May many more benefit from your services, and many more find hope and inspiration. Kudos to Walter Nandalike and team!

Congratulations to Daijiworld team for making a mark in the Web, digital, TV, Radio media ,konkani music, drama etc, and running it successfully. A new achievement which has happened this year is the publication of Veez online weekly magazine by Daijiworld with Dr. Austin Dsouza Prabhu as editor. The online addition of this magazine in Konkani is a real revolution in the Konkani media. The interviews , information on events is very much relevant. Through this Veez we have been able to read about the achievers in different fields. We appreciate the efforts of Dr. Austin and his team in bringing this magazine week-week although he lives far off in USA, he has brought all of us together

Suffering humanity deserves more respect, dignity and help than praising our leaders who are inhuman. Daijiworld has time and again stood for facts and truth rather than bow to power and pressure.
