Mangaluru, Jan 28: The nostalgic occasion of this red-letter day, Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotism at Prestige International School on 26th January 2019. The festivities commenced on a musical note. The band of the school played a note which filled everyone with the feelings of patriotism. The entire school courtyard was resplendent in the shades of tricolour.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolour, the pride of nation by the revered chief guests Moulana Mohammed Usman Nadavi, Fr Jochim fernades and D Keshav Bhat and it was followed by flag song, inspiring speeches on the significance of the occasion, dance and song. The power and energy exhibited by young students of the school was be filling to the occasion and arced their commitment and dedication and assured of a brighter future ahead.

The chief guests in their speech reminded us to maintain the dignity of being a citizen of a republic. The speakers underlined that it is very important to realize the difference between war and peace. Everyone took a pledge to uphold the honour, integrity, dignity and uniqueness of our nation. The school chairman Hyder Ali, managing director Reshma Hyder, managing trustee Syed Faizal, the school principal Feroza Fayaaz, vice principal Janaka Nandini, PU principal Suresh Babu, the entire staff and students of Prestige International School were present.
