Mumbai, Jan 20: It seems that the Censor Board chairman, Sharmila Tagore has got miffed with Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’. Tagore recently lashed out against her own officers for releasing ‘Ghajini’ with a U/A certificate.
The reaction comes after a petition filed by a city-based activist who had sought a stay on the release of the film since it contains excessive gore and should be therefore allotted an 'A' certification.
In an exclusive interview to a news daily, a rather peeved Sharmila said “The U/A tag means that kids can see the film with the consent of their parents. I have already spoken to my regional officers and told them that I am very upset with them for releasing such a violent and gory film for kids. I told them that they should have released it only for adult audiences.”
Sharmila, who hasn’t seen the flick herself till now added, "I have not watched the film myself but I have been flooded with complaints. Till now, I have not found a single person who thought that kids should be allowed to see ‘Ghajini’."
The Censor Board has as of now sought a week's time to reply to the PIL filed at the Bombay High Court.
