Chikkamagaluru, Mar 10: In an embarrassing incident that has come to light, the Railway department printed Mrs in front of the name of MP Shobha Karandlaje. Once the oversight was noticed, the same was set right and the invitations were printed again in which Shobha was correctly address as Kumari.

The inauguration of the Vishwamanava Express train that will play between Hubballi and Ashokapuram will be held at Shivani village of Ajjampur taluk in the district. The mishap of wrongly addressing MP Shobha Karandlaje as Mrs in place of Kumari occurred while printing the invitation cards for the said programme.

However, the department immediately noticed the oversight and rectified the same. However, the original invitations were distributed to many people, before the error was noticed. When the public objected to the addressing of Shobha as Mrs, though she is unmarried, the railway department got the invitations reprinted.
