Mangaluru, Mar 11: The District JD(S) submitted a list consisting names of four candidates who are interested to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Dakshina Kannada district, to the party high command.

Addressing media here on Monday, March 11, president of JD(S) Dakshina Kannada district committee Mohammed Kunhji said, " MLC Bojegowda, JD(S) spokesperson Sushil Noronha, MLC B M Farooq and JD(S) vice president M B Sadashiva are the four candidates from the district, hoping to contest the upcoming elections. Now it’s up to high command to take the final call on the candidate from the Dakshina Kannada district.”

Reacting to the statement by state BJP president Yeddyurappa who said government has given nothing to Dakshina Kannada district, JD(S) vice president M B Sadashiv said, "This statement from Yeddyurappa is equal to giving certificate to BJP MLAs and MPs from the district who have contributed nothing to the district. We have waived farmer’s loans in co-operative banks to a tune of Rs 114 crore, which has been credited to their account.”
