Mangaluru, Mar 21: ‘Impressions 2019’ extravaganza was inaugurated on March 11 during which the banners of all the six teams were unveiled by dean Prof Dr Manoj Verma and balloons were released as a sign of commencement of the annual fest. Each of the six teams showcased a glimpse of their energy and excitement in the form of flash mob.
The sports week began with the Indoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess and outdoor events like football, volleyball, throwball, Dodge ball, cricket and kabaddi for women. We had a heated brawl during badminton match which was enjoyed by all and the crowd was very engaged and enthusiastic. The sports meet was inaugurated by Dr Sham Kishore, Principal of Allied Sciences by releasing the balloons followed by March past and track and field events consisting of relay, long jump, and various other events.
Soon after the sports meet, the most awaited cultural week began with Rose day which included events such as flower arrangement, funk from junk, vision art, soap carving. The second day of the cultural event was chocolate day which consisted of events like eating competition, nail art, and pencil sketching. The third day of cultural event was The Squad/Twin day where in everyone had an opportunity to match their outfits with their friends. This day included events such as Wordsworth, hairstyling, mime, treasure hunt.
Traditional day was also held with events such as Funtakshari, Eastern singing, and Eastern dancing. The upcoming events include fuse it if you can, Western singing, Western dancing, spot dance followed by the final event of the cultural event which consists of programmes such as Fashion show, lens your sense, Shooting it right. Impressions 2k19 will wind up with the valedictory function on March 23 wherein the sports and academic achievers will be awarded.
