East Bengal hand Brandon 2-year contract extension

Kolkata, Apr 5 (IANS): City football giants East Bengal on Thursday extended Brandon Vanlalremdika's contract for two years.

"Quess East Bengal FC is pleased to announce the renewal of contract with Brandon Vanlalremdika for the next two seasons," the club said in a statement.

"I feel honoured and it's privilege for me to play for Quess East Bengal FC," the midfielder said.

Brandon helped the red and golds finish second in the I-League and was a vital cog in coach Alejandro Menendez's wheel.

During the season, Laldanmawia Ralte and Brandon alternated duties and performed the role of attacking midfielders to perfection.

East Bengal finished just behind champions Chennai City FC in the I-League with 42 points from 20 games.
