Udupi, Mar 10:
Manipal once again proved that it is truly a ‘melting pot of cultures.’ On Tuesday March 10 morning, the Greens campus in Manipal was seen filled with colours as students played holi with absolute fun and joy. It was riot of colours at the campus as student let lose all their inhibitions to celebrate the festival of colours.

The spirit of holi is colour - rich and vibrant, flung into the air and smeared with laughter on friends and loved ones.  Holi, the festival of colour, is also the enactment of spring. It is, in a metaphorical sense, changing earth’s dull garb of winter for the fresh blue of the March skies, the bright colours of new blossoms, and the brilliance of the summer sun washing everything with its red-gold hues.

The students of Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal and Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), celebrated the holi, the festival of colours at KMC Greens campus on Tuesday.  It was as if everyone was celebrating holi for years. Students of different colours, religions, countries and even complexion, were all painted in eye-catching colours. It was just impossible to distinguish between them as everyone was painted in colours.

It was a glorious occasion for students from all over the world to celebrate the festival of colours. Students were seen painting each other with rainbow colours. The 'Greens' campus turned into a campus of multi-colours as students swayed in merry making.

Students from foreign countries, for whom this is a new and unique celebration, too were not left far behind in joining their Indian counterparts in a superb display of universal brotherhood.
