Bahrain: Kasaragod Dist Pravasi Association Inaugurated

Bahrain, Mar 29: Friday 27th day is well remembered by the natives of Kasaragod. The Kasaragod District Pravasi Association was Inaugurated at Bang Sang Thai Auditorium, Adliya, Bahrain.

Sathish Edneer and rest of the Committee members welcomed John Iype, Chairman of C.C.I.A. and Soman Baby Associate Editor of Gulf Daily News.

Shafi Chooripallam Gen. Secretary, welcomed all the gathering and gave a welcome speech informing the audience the main objectives of Kasaragod Association.






























President Sathish Edneer escorted the chief dignitaries to the dias and in his speech informed the audience, though we are in border of Kerala and Karnataka, our thoughts and mind always with Karnataka specially, with Mangaloreans. He was telling that Kasaragod is the birth place of Manjeswara Govind Pai, National Poet of India. Also, place for traditional Yakshagana and folk dances, Bakel Kote and nice panoramic place with surrounding with nice beaches, also places of plenty of coconut trees, sugar cane fields, banana plantations. He also informed that the Association will help all needy people of Kasaragod.

During the function they felicitated Soman Baby, winner of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, and Basheer Ambaloyi winner of Yuva Pravasi Ratnam Award and Doomanna Rai cultural Secretary of C.C.I.A.

During the function Association children gave traditional dances and at present they have about 200 members from Kasargod District.
