Bengaluru:  Five men thrash food delivery staff for delay

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, May 7:  Five men thrashed a food delivery man on May 4 at Domlur Layout, Halasuru in city.

The reason was that the food was delivered late by half an hour.

The beatings were so severe that Tilak Kumar, the victim of the assault, fainted on the road with a fractured finger. A passerby, who saw Tilak lying unconscious on the road, took him to the hospital.

Krishna, Appu and three other suspects of the assaults, were later arrested by Halasuru station police upon complaint by Tilak Kumar.

Tilak Kumar said that he had gone with the food parcel near Agarwal Hospital as per order received online at 6.45 pm.  But Krishna and four others hurled expletives at Kumar when he reached the place. They punched, kicked and broke Kumar’s finger when he opposed their behaviour. The refusal of the suspects to pay for food, citing delay in delivering it, resulted in physical assault, said police sources.

It is a shame that it took five idiot hungry men to thrash a food delivery man for being late. The police should feed them with their sticks and fill their stomach.

Truth is something that has 3 sides. First- What We See, Second- What Others See, Third- Which is the Real.
So here we've one sided fact from delivery boy. We don't know the other 2 sides. But whatever it is, Physical Assault is totally Incorrect.

These online food suppliers are very rude and they don't understand the value of time. They do have penalty clauses but they don't comply with that. They get into arguments and don't return the money or any kind of compensation for the late deliveries.
I strongly condemn the physical assualt to the delivery staff.

@James Belman, one can blame the poeple as one want. But they are on the other side simply opfer of customers. How many of these customers refuse to pay the money simply blaming them as coming late, food is not warm, has somethig or other.Wish such complainers do take over their job for a change and experience how it is, to fight with timing and the jammed roads to fight. What do they afterall earn?Either thrash,no money because of late arrival,,finger, arm breaking or some even take off their purse.(Some order something not out of hunger but to thrash and rob their money)At any rate, this type of thrashing them ,or breaking their finger is not at all needed.Who pays them later when not able to work?

Shame on these goons for attacking the delivery staff with abusive language and inflicting injuries. Sorry to say this kind of behavior is not a good sign of civilized people. Soon they will realize once their food will be now be delivered by the jail inmates.....!!
