Rahul apologises to SC for 'chowkidar' goof-up

New Delhi, May 8 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday in an affidavit tendered his "unconditional apology" to the Supreme Court for "unintentionally" linking the top court in the Rafale review plea to his party's political slogan "cowkidar chor hai" aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Gandhi filed the three-page affidavit rendering the "unconditional apology".

He also requested the top court to close the contempt proceedings against him based on a petition filed by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter on Friday.

He wouldn't have apologised if the case was not filed in SC. He would have continued to say the same lie everywhere during campaigning

Modi cannot fight Rahul Gandhi or the Congress on issues and so has become infamous for using the CBI, Enforement Directorate, Income tax Dept and now the Judicial system to divert the people minds from the real issues.

The Modi Govt has been a total failure on all fronts. Not a word of the five years rule but only keeps attacking the Congress like an opposition leader and not a word about his five years rules achievements.

So called bhakths might be enjoying at this. But actually RG, by submitting his unconditional apology, is showing the nation (including FEKU and his Bhakths) that how a true leader should be, and how to respect our great constitution

Salute you Rahul...day by day you are becoming more closer in our hearts

(Note: FEKUs dont day dream that he apologized for 'chowkidar chor hai" remarks, it was only for attributing this remarks to SC....ingu thinda mangagalu)

Here is the one who again and again proved that he is educated, cultured and matured by expressing regret and apologising to the SC for linking the top court and the other one who was mute spectator during the Godhra massacre, Gujarat roits killing and till date not ready to accept his wrong doings and ask for forgiveness. This is the difference between an educated, cultured, matured person and an illiterate, uneducated, immatured (not keeping the decorum of the seat). Here no need to say which is applicable to whom.
And remember, RG has apologized to the SC for linking the top court for his words and his slogan will continue in his rallys. So no need to be happy.

Nobody apologized for Chowkidar Chor Hai Slogan.

The apology is given to Supreme Court, for remarks where Rahul quoted in rally Supreme Court too has said Chowkidar chor Hai. As SC accepted the case where Modi led BJP govt., mis-directed it with fake documents.

Chowkidar Chor Hai, slogan still says. In his own admission Jaitley says it is a free speech country.
