Dubai: Belman Parishioners Celebrate Annual Fest

Dubai, May 10: May 8, 2009  was the day when the young and old from Belman parish residing in the UAE, came together to celebrate their 'Belman Vodlen Fest' at Al Mas Hotel Apartments with the spirit of love and brotherhood.

The program started at 12.30 pm with a prayer initiated by Shanti, Amitha, Genevive, Ivan and Robert, followed by a beautiful hymn invoking the blessings of St. Joseph, the patron saint.

President Jacob Lobo welcomed the parishioners and guests, and invited them to  enjoy the day.

Avinash Saldanha introduced the Master of the Ceremonies for the day, Anil Prakash. Thereafter Anil took over the activities and kept everyone occupied and on their toes with various activities and team games until the end of the program.

There were lovely dance performances by Cema D'Souza and Inish Menezes.  The tiny tots, not to be left behind also gave a scintillating group performance. 

There was a skit performed by Anil Cardoza, Walter Monteiro and Sunita from Pamboor.

A delicious “Feast lunch” was catered by the well known Canara Restaurant, which was relished by all.

Anna D’Cruz thanked the sponsors from the Belman community  Ivan Menezes, John D’Souza, Vincent D’Souza, Ronald Fernandes, Robert Aranha & Vincent D’Souza, Valerian Mathias and Vincent Dmello, who always came forward with their contributions.

Pius D’Cruz proposed the vote of thanks. He ended his speech by thanking everyone for their contribution of time and efforts to make this function a success.

The program ended with Baila which was initiated the foot tapping music by DJ Austin.
