Dubai, Aug 28: St Mary’s Mangalorean Community (SMMC)-Dubai is geared up to celebrate Feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, popularly known as ‘Monthi Fest’ on Thursday, September 5 at 7.45 pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church Dubai.
The celebration includes grand procession with new crop, flower strewing in front of the grotto, Solemn Mass in Konkani, followed by traditional community meal.
In preparation of the Monthi Fest, nine days Novena began from Tuesday August 27 which will conclude on Wednesday September 4 at 8 pm followed by flower strewing.
A cultural programme has been organized on Friday 6 September 2019 from 7.30 pm onwards at Bishop Bernard Gremoli Memorial Hall (main hall).
On behalf of Fr Denis Saldanha OFM Cap, Spiritual Director and core committee, SMMC has invited all to participate in the event as well as in novena prayers.
