Daijiworld Media Network—Mangalore (RS/CN)

Mangalore, Jul 22: A three-day exhibition of photographs by Daijiworld’s Dayanand Kukkaje titled ‘Ex-pose’ will be inaugurated on Saturday July 25, at the Press Club, Puttur.

It is being organized by Taluk Journalists’ Association, Puttur, and will be on till Monday July 27.

A seminar on photography will also be held alongside the exhibition.

Ace photographer Kukkaje will be focusing on rural life this time and the exhibition will have pictures taken during his travel in the rural areas of the coastal district.

This follows his exhibition in Mangalore, Banglore, Bantwal, and Kundapur displaying photos of the aftermath of the tsunami-hit areas of Chennai and Port Blair.

He has been felicitated by many organizations and is also the recipient of several awards in photography contests at the state and national levels.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Ramachandra Rao, senior amateur photographer.

Dr Harish Kumar, assistant commissioner, Puttur, Rohini, assistant director, news and information department, Mangalore, and B Purandara Bhat, legal adviser, Taluk Journalists’ Association, Puttur, will be the guests.

Megha Paletthady, president, Taluk Journalists’ Association, will preside over the function. Ravi Posavanike, senior photographer, The Times Group, will conduct the seminar on photography.

Photography always reminds us the greatness of God the Creator. We can’t imagine nor the Scientist can explain the origin of this beautiful Creation, we have to attribute it to the almighty power of God who rules this world and safeguards the beauty of Creation. We are the part of this Creation, specially our friend-dynamic photographer Dayanand Kukkaje is a wonderful creation of God. Through his wonderful photography he relates us to the Creator, thus we are able to say “O God, how great you are” or “What a Beauty!!!”. When we relate ourselves to a Photography it takes us to the root cause of our Being, it reveals us the truth of our Self, inspires us to go deep within our inner-self and answer those unattended needs/desires of our Being. It is a beautiful means of expression and communications it is an open book of Creation. Let us encourage this media and support our Photographers. Dear Daya, congratulations and all the best for your ‘Ex-pose’, I liked that `young uncle` with his `Brief case` on his back approaching the ATM and saying to us “This is Democracy”.

A picture is worth thousand words. Life style. Yet times presentations is best described by pictures, arts, graphs, diagrams to convey messages intended. Some of the best pictures, reminds of our life style when we had hay house in India with kerosene lamps, no toilets, watching circus in our villages so on... Unless once has gone through such experiences can''t visualize those things. I think, Daya has sense what some of us can''t sense. Good luck Daya...

When a photo is shot with sense of humour then it becomes real picture. We have seen Dayananda Kukkaje''s photos in real sense of humour in most of his photos since beginning. Nice try by young photographer Daya to give opportunity to others also and explore themselves by such exhibitions. Among those photos I like the most is that Dog is watching boy ,reminds me my childhood. Congrats Daya and good luck.
