Mangaluru: Yenepoya School students selected for national swimming meet

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The students of the Yenepoya School, Mangaluru, have been selected for national sports meet.

The students participated in the CBSE South Zone (Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala & Karnataka) swimming competition held at Bangalore International School from Sep 26 to 29.

The participants are Wafi Abdul Hakeem, K Janani and Vindya G Bhandary. The trio secured one gold, three silver and two bronze medals under the training of Rajesh Bengre and Yashodha G Bhandary.

The winners would be participating at the national level which is to be held at Bhopal at a later date.

The winners were felicitated by the Yenepoya School principal Joseph Mechirath, campus director Mishria Javeed and vice principal Reshma Nayak.
