Bengaluru: Lady who lent Rs 11 crore to ex BJP minister Baburao Chinchansur commits suicide

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Nov 3: The lady, who gave a loan of Rs 11 crore to Baburao Chinchansur, former minister in the BJP government, killed herself in the city.

Anjana V Shantaveera is the woman who committed suicide at her residence at Chandra Layout of the city.

It is learnt that she called her son before killing herself and said that she was suffering from financial distress in life.

Anjana had lent former minister Baburao an amount of Rs 11 crore. Later, Anjana made a big issue on this matter and it went to the court. But the money matter was not yet resolved. So Anjana used to attend court hearing every now and then. It is suspected that she must have killed herself due to this frustration.

Anjana hanged herself in her residence on the night of Thursday. Her son has filed a complaint in this regard with the Chandra Layout police station that she ended her life due to personal reasons.

As the matter was coming to public light, the last rites of Anjana were performed on Friday itself.

If she lent Rs 11 crore to ex BJP minister, it must be legitimate money. If it was lent for any other political party, that would invite ED, CBI, RBI, DGI, and all other agencies to ensure that allegations are proved.
