Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Nov 14: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Udupi, has demanded for withdrawal of cases registered against leaders like Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi as also Karsevaks relating to the demolition of the disputed Babri masjid structure in 1992.

Speaking to media persons at Sri Krishna Math here on Wednesday November 13, the Swamiji said that the movement carried out by the concerned was like the independence struggle and wished that the cases outstanding against the concerned would be dismissed.

"In the Supreme Court verdict, five acres of land has been ordered to be given for construction of mosque. It can be built at a spot as would be provided. Our wish that temple dedicated to Lord Ram has to come at his birth place has been fulfilled," he noted.

He said that at the harmony meet organized at Delhi, scholars from both the religions arrived at certain decisions. "People of both the religions should develop harmony and mutual relationship. We have to forget differences and work for united India. The decisions arrived at there and made it clear that irrespective of the religions to which we might belong, we are Indians. Hindus should cooperate with the construction of mosque and Muslims should lend their support for the temple construction. I am happy that there was no turmoil, group clashes or disruption of peace in the entire country after the Supreme Court verdict," he stated.

It look like swamiji is against of Supreme Court verdict, because honorable Supreme Court itself said that demolition of babri masjid was a criminal act. So how come this swami wants to withdraw the case which killed more than 3000 peoples. Have some common sense. Enough is enough... Do not DEVIDE the society in the name of religion.

Logical conclusion to the Ayodhya issue lies in punishing the criminals who conspired and demolished the place of prayer of Muslims. The real value of the pronounced judgement comes from that.

All due to respect to swamiji ... But he should know to respect the SC verdict ... Demolition was still a criminal act ... more than 2000 people were killed.... Justice has to be served .....

India has a bad record at serving justice to murderers, rioters, rapist ..... and letting them go will set a bad precedent

Somebody please explain the verdict to this swamiji.
The honourable court has said the demolition of the Babri masjid was a criminal act. If the lower courts consider this verdict, even the political disciple of Swamiji, shri Advani too might be sentenced to prison.
